Dr. Roger Vazquez holds a bachelors in psychology from The University of Texas, a masters in clinical psychology from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, and a Ph.D. in counselor education and supervision from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi as well. Dr. Vazquez is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas, as well as nationally certified as a Human Services - Board Certified Practitioner. Dr. Vazquez has worked in various mental health and substance abuse settings and completed his doctoral dissertation on substance abuse treatment. In academia, Dr. Vazquez has taught psychology and mental health counseling course at the undergraduate and graduate level, including teaching masters-level addiction courses. Dr. Vazquez has served as an expert witness in both federal and county courts, with experience in general litigation consultation, defendant psychological assessment, psychological report writing, ex parte hearings, and courtroom testimony (including direct and cross-examination). Furthermore, Dr. Vazquez has served as the jury foreman on a double homicide trail, giving him the added perspective of being a juror.
