Dr. Lynch is the founding President of Environmental Safety Management Corporation, a full service industrial hygiene consulting firm specializing in ergonomics, indoor air quality, mold testing and remediation oversight, and OSHA compliance, serving clients in manufacturing, healthcare and office environments since 1992. Dr. Lynch is routinely consulted by defense and plaintiff attorneys seeking litigation support in matters related to indoor air quality, mold contamination and remediation, OSHA Compliance, Ergonomic Back Injuries and Cumulative Trauma Disorders, Product Liability/Product Warning & Labels, Safety Management and Workers Compensation. Over the past decade Dr. Lynch has conducted over 1000 indoor air and mold investigations in schools, offices, healthcare facilities, and homes.

Dr. Richard Lynch served as Assistant Professor of Industrial Hygiene and Public Health at the Rutgers University Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, and the NJ School of Public Health at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ (1994-2003). He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles on ergonomics, indoor air quality, mold, occupational disease causation, chemical exposures, irritant induced asthma, and related issues in journals including the American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, American Journal of Industrial Medicine, Applied Occupational and Environmental Hygiene, Professional Safety, Environmental Health Perspectives, Risk, New Solutions, The NJ Law Journal and others.

In 2003 Dr. Lynch was appointed by the NJ Governor to the NJ Clean Air Council and reappointed by Governor Corzine in 2007. Dr. Lynch also serves on the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services Occupational Health Surveillance Advisory Board. He is an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, and Founding Director of the Trenton Chapter of the Indoor Air Quality Association.

Dr. Lynch holds a Ph.D. in Public Health with a minor in epidemiology from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/Rutgers University, and a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene from Temple University. He is Certified in the Comprehensive Practice of Industrial Hygiene by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, and is also a Council-Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor, and Council-Certified Microbial Consultant, by the American Indoor Air Quality Council. Also a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager by American Hospital Association and Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
