Dr. Grunwaldt has extensive knowledge of plastic and reconstructive surgery. She completed a 5 year residency in General Surgery at BIDMC a Harvard teaching hospital and then completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Cincinnati. She completed her training with a year long fellowship in pediatric plastic surgery at CHP of UPMC.

Lorelei J. Grunwaldt completed her B.S. degree at Harvard College in 1997. She graduated from Upstate Medical University with a Doctor of Medicine Degree in 2001. She completed her Internship and Residency in General Surgery from 2001-2006 at BIDMC, a Harvard Teaching Hospital. From 2006-2008 she completed a Residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. She did her Pediatric Plastic Surgery Fellowship and Cleft/Craniofacial Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC from 2008-2009. She has been on staff as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Pitt since 2009.

Dr. Grunwaldt has expertise in all areas of Cleft and Pediatric Plastic Surgery. She is Director of the Vascular Anomalies and Brachial Plexus Centers, which she founded. She also leads the Congenital Breast Clinic where she sees adolescents and young adult male and female patients with a variety of concerns. She has expertise in congenital ear anomalies and prominent ear as well.

Also, Dr. Grunwaldt has expertise in adult cosmetic surgeries including breast surgery, liposuction, facelift, and eyelid surgery.
