He formerly was a Forensic Psychologist with the Board of Parole Hearings of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He also was manager of the Intensive Outpatient Psychotherapy Program at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, California, where he was a staff psychologist for 27 years. In that program, Dr. Williams treated patients with serious psychological problems, including depression, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, personality disorders and drug abuse. Dr. Williams puts his clinical expertise to use in the psychological evaluations he carries out for civil and criminal courts. He has testified nationwide in cases involving psychotherapy malpractice where defendants have been psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers and counselors. He has also evaluated plaintiffs who have claimed emotional damages in cases of personal injury, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, racial discrimination and medical and dental malpractice. Dr. Williams has testified for both plaintiff and defense in civil court, criminal court and at administrative law hearings and considers the merits of each case before committing to testify.
